David posted: 06.29.2018 - 9:29 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) ARCA has Peterson in the #23 in the race results (Peterson probably didn't even start the race, regardless of which car he was in) but he was in the #1 on the entry list and the Holmes #23 presumably withdrew. So it's likely a typo. 3. RaceFanX posted: 06.29.2018 - 9:45 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Michael Self picks up his second ARCA win of the season. He's running a part-time campaign so this was only the sixth race he had started this year. 4. rm posted: 06.29.2018 - 9:57 am Rate this comment: (2) (1) Peterson did run the 23 after Holmes withdrew. It was his own composite car that he ran. Wayne doesn't do anything more than turn a single lap these days. Supposedly Bret will return at Elko in 2 weeks. Peterson did start the race, the given DNF reason was "brakes" for him. Withdrew: Bret Holmes #23 Holmes II Excavation Chevy - owner Bret Holmes Wayne Peterson #1 Great Railing Chevy - owner Wayne Peterson Positions 1-22 were all running 5. ol hank posted: 06.29.2018 - 10:08 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Wayne drove the 23 during the pace laps, and pulled off at the green. Yes, it's called start and park, but he doesn't even start and then parks his car. It makes no sense. 8. That completely doomed Herbst, and with it, a chance of a clean start off the line. 9. Between Venturini, Matthew Miller and Gilliland/Gibbs they have the competition mopped in the ARCA series. 10. There are pics on Peterson's team twitter @arcafan06 of their car, and it was clearly #23. 14. Regular driver Thomas Praytor served as the crew chief for Iwuji's entry. Tom Berte had an eventful spin on lap 33 when Sheldon Creed came around his outside and got him aero-loose, sending Berte on a wild slide down the pit entrance where he managed to stop the car just feet shy of nosing it into the wall. Toni Breidinger and Will Rodgers started the fireworks on pit road before the race when they collided during the qualifying session. Rodgers claimed he was holding it straight when she doored him, causing significant damage the the #52 and forcing him to miss posting a time. Rodgers recovered nicely to collect his third top 10 of the year in ARCA competition. After the checkers flew, Joe Graf Jr. and Natalie Decker got together, resulting in serious nose damage the Graf's car as he attempted to limp across the line. The controversial incident allowed MMM's Blaine Perkins to pick up a pair of additional spots as he came through the trioval, with the 11th place finish being his best result of the season in 3 races. Withdrew: Jesse Iwuji - 34 - BBMC Mortage - John Wood - Chevrolet (same at Michigan, Mike Basham did NOT withdraw. The entry for those races were filed prior to Iwuji and Patriot parting ways) 16. He was in top 10 in points if not higher. 17. rm posted: 06.30.2018 - 8:44 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Look at his finishes this year - the results weren't matching the $$ they were pouring in. He came into 2017 with a lot of hype and high expectations after how well he did in 2016, but the past year and a half have not been as kind to the 23 bunch. He was in contention at both of the superspeedway events this year but was taken out in hard, expensive crashes in both. That certainly didn't help. 18. oldschoolracing519 posted: 07.02.2018 - 5:17 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Crew Chief updates #9 Thomas Praytor #15 Kevin Reed #18 Robert Barker 19. rm posted: 07.31.2018 - 1:23 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Time of race: 1:11:05 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
