You did not want to be the leader. Creed wrecked from the lead when the lapped car of Kevin Hinckle ran up the track into him. Herring wrecked from the lead when Herbst passed him and brought Self with him, leading to Herring running up the track and spinning. Then on the next green flag run Decker got pinballed between Self and Rohrbaugh after muscling her way to the point off the restart. Brutal race for attrition. As for the final ten laps...Alfredo blew up and lost power, oiling up the whole backstretch. The final laps - 3 or 4 maybe? - quickly became chaos. Rohrbaugh smashed the wall, trailing his back bumper cover. Decker smacked the wall. Munter hit the wall (again!). Glasson hit the wall, puffing smoke in the process. Bill Kimmel flew off the pit box, desperate to get a yellow to wave, but it didn't fall his way. I don't want to say it was the right call to ignore it, but it would have almost certainly led to another wreck on the restart. At the rate they were going it seemed smart to let it roll. Drew Herring was the big story of the entry list coming in and did not disappoint. Many expected him to show up Riley Herbst and while Herring wheeled it to near the top of the pylon in practice and the pole in qualifying, Herbst did not trail by much. Herring jumped out to lead much of the first half of the race, but Herbst, Burton and Creed were on the prowl and didn't let him jump out to too much of a gap. Eventually, Herbst and Self passed Herring under green - well, it was green when they passed him - and the race was basically yellow for the next 30 laps due to the rash of cautions that set off. 8. rm posted: 10.20.2018 - 12:05 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Withdrew: JJ Pack - #61 Iceboxx Customs Toyota (Heather Pack) Sponsor updates: 06 - Richard Y. I would be very surprised if any of those drivers fail to make it to Cup barring some extreme unforeseen circumstance. Christian Eckes wasn't in this race but unless he underwhelms next year I think he's also a lock. Kid will go very very far. Creed & Herbst will make it if the funding sticks with them long enough. Can't see either of them in Cup for 5 or so years though. One obviously has more merit than the other so far but neither of them look like hotshot/can't miss guys right now. Could maybe see Tyler Hill or Drew Herring getting back of the pack one-offs at some point, like what Will Kimmel did in the past - forgot he ran a couple Cup races. Too early to tell, at least for me, on Alfredo and Glasson since I haven't watched them race enough yet. 24. Caudell's 11th-place finish would mark the last hurrah for Dodge on a speedway - for now, anyway - and left both he and Ralston as the last drivers to score lead lap finishes at a speedway in steel-bodied cars. 26. In the race itself the former Stadium Super Trucks champ then sped to his fourth win of the year as he capped off his title-winning effort with style. This victory came in his final race as an ARCA regular as Creed moved up to the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series for 2019. This was Leilani Munter's penultimate ARCA start. She retired after racing at Daytona the following February. 27. 48johnsonfan posted: 01.22.2020 - 2:00 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Yes, this race does exist on YouTube.
