More entries in this race than last year 2. rm posted: 06.23.2020 - 10:24 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) It'll be just the third series start for Greenfield, having previously made one each in 2004 and in 2015. There were also a few DNQs in between, mostly from the attempts that Greenfield made in an old car he'd bought from Wayne Peterson. Russ Lane, a road racer, will be making his stock car debut here. Lane is listed as the owner too, though the car is coming out of the Empire shop as a de facto teammate to Sean Corr. Corr is also entered, returning to his roots with the #82 on his ARCA car for the first time in 7 years. Several drivers who are usually only able to run on short tracks will be in the field at Pocono, with drivers like Ty Gibbs, Chandler Smith and Sam Mayer taking their rivalries from half-mile tracks to a two-and-a-half-mile track. Nice to see Derek Griffith, Chad Bryant and Original Gourmet teaming together after all. The previously-announced plans for Griffith to run the full East schedule fell apart due to the pandemic, leaving him absent from the East race at Toledo a weekend ago. He'll be hard-pressed to top his performance from New Smyrna in February, when he made his East debut dominated much of the race. 3. One of those exhibition events gained notoriety for being the scene of a violent crash for Patty Simko, who hit the end of the wall at the pit entrance head-on and barrel-rolled. They added a single points-paying race for 1987 to go along with the exhibition and then moved to two points races for the next 32 years beginning in 1988. 6. Ex: Joey Logano's, Robby Gordon's. Ryan Reed's burnout after winning Daytona was so bad that announcer Kevin Harvick actually laughed at him, and we know how bad Reed was. I'm guessing when Riley Herbst won this race in 2017 in the Gibbs 18 he didn't put on the smokeshow that Ty did today. 54. David posted: 06.27.2020 - 9:20 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) For those who aren't aware how ARCA data on this site works now, it's the same as the other "lower" NASCAR series where preliminary results get posted shortly after a race ends (usually) and then they make an update later which includes caution flags and lap leaders and starting positions and dnf reasons. I notice that series such as Pinty's and the Modifieds and the old K&Ns have been handled that way for a few years now. I guess it takes a while to get the complete data but they at least put something up fairly soon after races. 64.
