He only has to beat 7 cars to get that first exclusive top 10 finish of his career 10. Mile501 posted: 07.08.2020 - 1:50 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) If there are no additional entries, this will be the smallest field that Brad Smith has ever competed in. He has competed in an 18-car field on 4 occasions. He has raced at Kentucky 21 times. In 2015, he finished 18th in a 32-car field, completing all but 7 laps. He also finished 16th in a 40-car field back in 2004. 11. Austin posted: 07.08.2020 - 2:18 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I thought Chandler Smith was in the 20. Also ive been seeing ty in the 18. UnderdogFan89 posted: 07.08.2020 - 8:43 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Having found what seems to be the 2020 ARCA rulebook published online, there is no specific mention of Kentucky being eligible for 17 year olds (Pocono is called out as being allowed, as long as said driver has made 5 previous ARCA starts). 18. AntonyBlalock posted: 07.08.2020 - 8:57 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) this car count may also be lower due to the fact this was a race that wasnt originally on the schedule but added due to Corona 19. This package mixed with a one-groove race track and only 17 cars = not good 31. It is very sad to see the series down to just a few cars. They always had healthy field of cars, but over the last year or two it's been declining. 33. Anthony2 posted: 07.11.2020 - 3:32 pm Rate this comment: (0) (2) @32 Could it be the fact that because NASCAR purchased ARCA it's led to this? Composite bodies, spec engines, etc. I've those have been big factors of this decline, but the series since 2018 has seen less cars ever since the announcement of the purchase. 34. Zach posted: 07.11.2020 - 3:37 pm Rate this comment: (0) (1) @33 It's everything you said plus the fact that the race pay-out is pathetic. Even the winner only gets a few thousand thousand dollars. Couple that with spec engines, composite bodies, lack of sponsorships, the cost of being competitive and it's no wonder there is a lack of cars. 35. In the 90's you could take a Cup car and with some minor modifications, run it in an ARCA race one week and a Winston West race the next. If Hendrick was selling a couple of 4 year old Chevy's. A guy could buy them and run ARCA for two years. 51. Timothy_Eklund posted: 07.11.2020 - 4:04 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Brad smith in 12th! 52. Foote posted: 07.11.2020 - 6:32 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Hailie could've held the bottom but she came up the track and then got hooked... five seconds later. Dollar had a chance to get out of the gas but decided to hook her instead. Is what it is, she should've held the bottom anyway but Dollar made a conscious choice to hook her into the fence. By the way not absolving her of the rich kids who don't care about equipment thing. Daytona was a black mark for her. But she got wrecked today. Something tells me payback is coming. 70. Dollar probably should have backed out too. 71. MarkMartinFan posted: 07.11.2020 - 7:39 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Dollar had just enough along side of her just to hook her into the fence. Late in the race, it's tough to back out, but my dude turned hard left and dumped her. I don't feel bad for Deegan as much as I feel bad for the people who work on the car and have to fix it now over a silly thing that was easily avoidable. 72.
