Scott Hansen and Gary St. Amant had a great battle at the end here.
Hansen passed St. Amant in the closing laps but St. Amant sneaked back
past him on the final lap. Scott put the chrome horn to Gary in Turn 4
on the final lap and sped past to steal the win at the last possible
moment. The win was Hansen's first of the 1998 season, he went on to win
a career-high seven races during this season.

This was the first of two races for the ASA tour at Florida's DeSoto
Speedway.
