One night after a race at Auburn, Michigan's Tri-City Motor Speedway the
ASA guys were back in action further south in Marne for a race at the
famous Berlin Raceway...

This race came down to a side by side battle between Gary St. Amant and
Scott Hansen. The pair swapped the lead nine times before St. Amant
edged Hansen for the win. A spin by Jim Froling set up the final run.

Mike Miller won the night before at Tri-City and was a factor here but
had to settle for third.

Dave Sensiba led early after scoring his only pole of 1998 but a good
finish wasn't in the cards. He lost a right rear wheel early in the
race, driving down the frontstretch throwing sparks everywhere, and fell
out of contention for a good finish afterward.
