This race came down to a shootout between Scott Hansen and Mike Eddy
with the pair getting into a door-banging duel at times. Hansen
eventually got the lead and said he was so scared of having Eddy behind
him he worked hard to pull away from him so the Polar Bear wouldn't get
a last shot to knock him out of the way. It was Hansen's third win of
the year.

Ralph Sheheen and Jim Tretow were the commentators. Dave Burns was the
sole pit road reporter.
