Mike Miller's #18 Pontiac had new colors in this race as he traded in
his red scheme for the black and white colors of Jani-King. The cleaning
franchise company had been sponsoring the #30 Chevrolet of Jeff Fultz
earlier in the season but when that team closed down their sponsorship
moved over to Miller's outfit for the rest of the year. While he didn't
do well here the partnership was a success and would last through the
end of the 2001 season.

Rick Beebe records his second and final ASA victory. This was his only
win of the 1998 season.
