The Polar Bear's win here snapped a 49-race losing streak for the
seven-time ASA champion. This was Eddy's first ASA win in more than two
years dating back to a victory at Jennerstown in July 1996. Making up
for lost time it started a two-race winning streak for the driver of the
GM Goodwrench #88 Pontiac.
