At the companion MARS race during the May race weekend at Kaukauna,
Bennett's victory earned him a one-off ride for NASCAR's return visit to
Kaukauna in August. It was Bennett's only appearance in the series
during its NASCAR era - which was not by accident - and his first start
in the series overall since 1997. His next appearance wouldn't be until
2015, one year after the ARCA Midwest Tour took over as the sanctioning
body of the Dixieland 250.
