His win secured him third place in the final standings. Justin Diercks finishes third and clinches his second-consecutive, and last, NASCAR Midwest Series championship. Diercks came into this race with a 48-point lead on series icon Steve Carlson and finished two spots in front of him to ice his championship cake with a final margin of 59 points. Diercks only needed to finish 10th or better to clinch the championship no matter what sort of counter attack Carlson launched. Wisconsin's own Nick Schumacher gives the Dairyland fans a show as he finishes sixth. This was Schumacher's best finish in the series, coming in his third and final start on the tour. 2. rm posted: 06.30.2019 - 5:50 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Race name: Oktoberfest 200 (not 250) Winnings: Schendel - $5,350 Darnell - $2,600 Bean - $1,950 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
