Bobby Isaac records his first Grand National East win. He only ran a
partial schedule in 1972 with this as his second start.

One thing, the lap leaders only add up to 249.

Thanks for catching that. I'm not sure who the missing lap goes to though.

Lee Roy Yarbrough and Bugs Stevens were both supposed to be in this race
but pulled out. Yarbrough withdrew his entry two days before the race
while Stevens practiced a Pete Hamilton-owned Chevrolet but pulled out
before qualifying because he wasn't pleased with how it drove.
