Lot of NASCAR history in this race. Bobby Allison, Tiny Lind, Elmo
Langley, Wendell Scott, Buck Baker, and even Richard Childress.

Castles apparently went through the fence in this race and wrecked his
car in the process.

The late Cecil "Flash" Gordon sadly never got a victory as a driver in
either Cup or Grand National East action. It's nice to see he got a win
here as an owner after tossing Bobby Allison the keys to the famous
yellow #24 Chevrolet.

Neil Castles' crash caused a 50-minute red flag for cleanup.
