Dave Dion claims his first NASCAR North Tour victory as the series with
a 5th-place finish in this combination race. It was his only "win" of
1980 and the only one of his seven North Tour wins that didn't come with
the #29, likely due to OC racer Joe Fields outqualifing him.

This race ended in a wild finish. Geoff Bodine and Butch Lindley were
battling each other for the win when Lindley ran out of gas on the final
lap of the race to hand the victory to Bodine.

Bodine did not win this race by much, he ran out of gas on his victory lap.

The 7th annual Oxford 250 was the first to be sanctioned as part of the
NASCAR North Tour, and was a combination race with the NASCAR Late Model
Sportsman Division (which would, later, become the NASCAR Busch Series).
