It was his only "win" of 1980 and the only one of his seven North Tour wins that didn't come with the #29, likely due to OC racer Joe Fields outqualifing him. 2. Geoff Bodine and Butch Lindley were battling each other for the win when Lindley ran out of gas on the final lap of the race to hand the victory to Bodine.
