It's interesting that Earnhardt raced, and won, this one in a Pontiac
LeMans. He drove Fords at the time in Winston Cup and the Thunderbird
was a legal car in this series, manufacturers were a bit more loose at
the time with their racers driving other cars in other series and it
remained that way somewhat through the early 2000s actually.
