Jeff Stevens never finished better than 10th in any of his official
NASCAR North Tour appearances but still scored a win here in this
combination race as the series' stars. Dave Dion also wasn't making a
North Tour start but brought his #29 Ford Thunderbird home second as he
became the last driver to run in one of the tour's races with a
non-General Motors car (every car in the final three races after this
was a GM model). Robbie Crouch finished third on the track but gets
credit for the official win as the highest-finishing North Tour racer.
