Road Course Ringer Butch Leitzinger scores the first of his four Busch
North wins and the only one that didn't come at Lime Rock Park.

Leitzinger's victory was only the second true Busch North victory for
Ford, the brand's only prior Busch North win was a lone 1992 triumph by
Dave Dion at Oxford.

The late Bryan Goewey is best known as a dirt racer but in just his
second Busch North start he had a great run here as he finished fourth
on the road course here at the Glen. Of Goewey's four Busch North starts
this was the only one he finished, thus giving him the weird statistic
of one top-5 and three finishes of 39th or worse.

Goewey wisely went to the Bob Bondurant road racing school to get ready
for this race and it paid off with this great run.
