The Commentators For The Race Were Mike Joy, Buddy Baker And Darrell
Waltrip. The Pit Road Reporters Were Glenn Jarrett And Randy Pemberton.

Famously this was the race where Darrell Waltrip riffed on current
events by quipping before the race that the cloudy conditions would be
good for the track because "yesterday it was coming apart, about like
O.J. Simpson's alibi." Mike Joy wasn't expecting that and started
laughing on the air. Simpson had been arrested three weeks earlier but
his famous trial wouldn't begin for a few more months and he eventually
would be found innocent at its conclusion.

Like the regular Busch Series most Busch North teams ran buzzy V6s in
this era but Martin Truex's self-owned red-and-white #56 Blount Seafood
Oldsmobile had a V8 in this one and those two extra cylinders more than
made up for the additional weight on this day; on a big track like
Loudon the extra power helped bring Truex to victory lane. Ironically,
getting to victory lane was one of the hardest things for Truex here as
he briefly got lost trying to find it after the race.

Kudos to nascarman for posting a couple clips from this race on his
Twitter. The Busch North series usually didn't get TV coverage in this
era but this one did since it was on the Cup Series undercard. TNN aired
it live as a doubleheader with the Modified Tour race the same day.
