While the brand's winning days in NASCAR, and ARCA, were over GM would put the them back on track as an engine supplier for IMSA and IndyCar where they would continue to have success. 3. ericthenau posted: 06.12.2015 - 6:28 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) Actually Kip Stockwell's only career win in his NASCAR Busch North Series (now K&N Pro Series East) debut, in the initial race at Thunder Road in 1997, would be the last true major stock car victory for Oldsmobile, RaceFanX. That race happened a year later, and drivers would still race in an Oldsmobile in the series until 1999 (albeit with almost no success). This race would see the penultimate victory for Oldsmobile in both the Busch North Series and all of the major stock car racing sanctions. 4. So it's quite possible that Park's two wins came in the same car that Stockwell drove to victory in 1997. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
