This race cost Dave Dion the championship. Dion had a nine point lead
over Mike Stefanik coming into this race, but Dion cut a tire midway
through and was forced to pit under green. To make matters worse, a
frustrated Dion rocketed out of the pits before his crew was finished
and got hung up on the air hose. That resulted in a stop-and-go penalty
and an F-bomb on national television.

The race was broadcast on TNN along with the 100-lap Modified race. Eli
Gold, Buddy Baker and Brett Bodine called the race.

Herb Drugg's 20th place finish was the first time a driver had
Sponsorship from a website.

First caution - laps 16-22 - 21, 99 accident turn 1
Second caution - laps 30-36 - 4, 6, 27 accident turn 4
Third caution - laps 77-81 - 5, 84, 86 accident pit entrance

Barney McRae had the lone V6 in the field. "God bless him," Eli Gold
noted during the starting lineup.

Eli Gold, Buddy Baker and Brett Bodine were the commentators. Glenn
Jarrett and Matt Yocum were the pit road reporters.
