Darling backed into the wall at high speed and a fire quickly broke out from where fuel had been spilled across the accident scene on the track. Weeden was out of his car first and ran over to aid Darling, who was climbing out of his burning car after a moment's delay. Both drivers were okay. It wasn't a great start for Darling's rookie Busch North season, he would crash out 5 times in 14 races and was running at the end of just 6 races. The so-called Magic Mile wasn't particularly magical for Darling as his best finish at Loudon was 27th in four Busch North starts at the track. Martin Truex Jr. had slid back to 26th late in the race before pulling off track with a mechanical issue. He did finish the race, albeit 13 laps down. His return trip in July went better - much, much better, leading wire-to-wire as he won his first Busch North race. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
