Jimmie Johnson had his famous head-on crash at full speed into the turn
1 wall in this race. Thank God for that foam padding against the rail.

Bryan Wall the highest Busch north finisher in 26th.

Lap Leaders: Ron Fellows, 1-13, P.J. Jones 14-20, Tom Hubert 21-35, Ron
Fellows 36-47, Ron Hornaday, Jr. 48-58, Butch Leitzinger 59-71, Fellows
72-82

The Busch North guys are outgunned by both the Busch regulars and road
course ringers. Ron Fellows outduels Butch Letizinger and Kevin Harvick
in the closing laps for the victory while Ron Hornaday, Jr. and P.J.
Jones are the only regulars from either series to lead the race.

Dale Quarterley didn't qualify but relief drove most of this race for
Dick Trickle in the #5 Chevrolet.
