This was the only race televised on NBC for the Busch North Series. The
September race at Loudon was also scheduled to be on NBC but was
canceled due to the 9/11 attacks

Tom Carey Jr's lone Busch North win of 2001

Only Busch North start for John Finger, who won the ARca race at the
Glen about a month earlier.
