A late caution sent this race into extra laps. Dale Quarterley had the
lead coming to the green on lap 151 but his car sputtered due to being
low on fuel. Dale Shaw and Bryan Wall had a close battle to the white
with Shaw finally pulling away on the final lap on the back stretch.

after a 3 year absence the event at Dover became a regular event on the
Busch North schedule
