CASCAR champion J.R. Fitzpatrick's lone Busch East / K&N East series
race, he won the CASCAR title this same year.

This was the first NASCAR Busch North/K&N East victory for a driver
using a Dodge. The Mopar boys would have to wait until the fall of 2012
to see victory lane again.

Pierre Bourque, searching for his first East top ten in the final race
of the year, wrecked out all on his own while safely inside the top ten
on the last lap and finished 13th.

To put it nicely, he was not a very good racecar driver.

Babe Branscombe makes his first Busch East start in just under four
years, and his last in the series overall, but the sports car racer went
out early with a brake failure.
