Give a call to Jesus Hernandez. I thought he didn't get a fair shake
with DEI, not getting a further ride because he wasn't Jeffrey or
Trevor. But he has given this #12 car, which has honestly run like crap
the last few years, and made it a serious contender. Someone better look
at him - he's consistent, rarely tears up stuff, and always ends up in
the top-ten.

Feel bad for David Mayhew - took a risk for his West team and will
travel east for the final two races. He had a top-five, maybe winning
car, for this race, but had mechanical woes late.

Ryan Truex just clinched the 2009 NASCAR East Series championship,
finishing 8th at Dover while MacDonald finished 9th.

Brett Moffitt won the race.

Eddie MacDonald makes it three-for-four at New Hampshire, having swept
the races in 2008 and won the second NHMS race in 2009.

A rain shower after Sprint Cup qualifying caused the race to be
shortened from 125 laps to 100 laps and then darkness caused the race to
be called one lap sooner than the rescheduled 100 laps.

It was very refreshing to see 35 drivers in this race after seeing fewer
than 30 in the June race. Still far away from the 45 or so drivers that
used to start the race with many DNQs, but it's good to get this many.

A twofer for Eddie MacDonald at Loudon this weekend, as the day after
this race he won the 50-lap ACT Invitational.
