Andrew Ranger has already won a road race in the West and East series
this year.

First career win for Andrew Ranger and I believe he's the first Canadian
to win in the East Series. Congrats to him.

Impressive debut race for 16-year-old Julian Albarracin. He led several
laps while staying out during green-flag stops, but he was tough. Shame
he had mechanical problems.

I've heard, but haven't seen, that Scott Bouley demolished his car in
this one.

Andrew Ranger is also running part time in the Canadian Tires Series, so
he's got a chance of pulling off the hat track and having wins in 3
different regional series this season.

Ranger also won the pole, his first between the East and West Series.

BTW this is the team that Steve Park drove for the last couple seasons
in the East Series. If anyone's going to replace Park then I'm glad that
Ranger's one of the guys doing it.

RBR developmental driver Cole Whitt gets his 2nd runner-up finish and
3rd podium finish of the season.

JGR developmental drivers Max Gresham and Brett Moffitt finish 3rd and
4th. It's Gresham's first top ten this year that isn't a win, while it's
Moffitt's 3rd straight top five.

Points leader Ryan Truex finished 5th while 2nd in points Darrell
Wallace Jr. finished 6th. They both lead the series with 5 top tens in 6
races this year which has given them a solid edge over everyone else in
the standings so far. But Brett Moffitt's been coming on strong lately.

Eddie MacDonald gets his 4th top ten this year, but he hasn't finished
better than 6th.

Jeff Anton gets his 3rd top ten with his season-best finish of 8th.

Miguel Paludo gets his first career top ten in his 5th career start, all
this season.

Although Sergio Pena won the pole and finished 2nd in the Toyota All
Star Showdown this year, 10th is his best career points-paying finish
and first top ten.

Maybe the last East race at Lime Rock Park? The series had been running
here every year since 1993 but the track was not included on the 2011
series schedule.

Rick Allen and Phil Parsons were the commentators. Derek Pernesiglio was
the sole pit road reporter.
