Sergio Pena gets his first win in the East Series, a long time coming in
my opinion due to the talent he showed in the Toyota Showdown in 2010.

Got to feel sorry for Brett Moffitt. He had this thing in hand, but he
had no where to go when Cherry spun right in front of him with just nine
to go. Glad for Pena though. That kid was all smiles.

After what had to be a really disappointing rookie season given how
great he ran in the Toyota Showdown, Sergio Pena gets not only his 1st
win but his 1st top five in 12 East Series starts.

Coleman Pressley and Matt DiBenedetto for the new X Team Racing are the
only drivers with top 5 finishes in the first 2 races, and teammate Alex
Bowman has 2 top 10's to join them in the top 5 in points.

Darrell Wallace Jr. won his 1st career pole and led a career-high 73
laps (only led 40 laps in 2010 despite winning twice) but finished 6th.

What happened to Chase Elliott that put him 4 laps down in 22nd?

From what I remember watching the telecast, Chase cut down a right rear
at one point while running in the bottom half of the top ten.

Toyotas are still dominating the sport, the whole top 6 are Toyotas and
7 of the top 10 are Toyotas, Bowman finished in 8th , the only Toyota in
the top 10 that was not with the top 6 Toyotas

Rick Allen and Phil Parsons were the commentators. Derek Pernesiglio was
the sole pit road reporter.
