Darrell Wallace Jr. picked up his 3rd career East Series win and took over the point lead because of it. Brett Moffitt gets his 2nd top 2 finish of the season but a crash at South Boston still has him 6th in the points. Corey Lajoie, Randy's son, got his 4th career top 5 in 10 starts and 1st of the season after finishes of 29th and 20th in the first 2 races. Max Gresham won his 3rd career pole and led the most laps in the race but settled for his 2nd straight top 5 after only finishing 21st in the season-opening race in Greenville. Rookie Alex Bowman is one of only 4 drivers with top 10's in the first 3 races of the season, picking up his 2nd top 5. Former West champ Jason Bowles made only his 2nd career East Series start, finishing 6th. Michael Cherry got his 3rd career top 10 in 6 starts. Sergio Pena ties the amount of top 10's he had all of last season (10 races) with his 3rd top 10 in 3 races. Denny Hamlin came from choosing voluntarily to start at the rear of the DHSTS to get his first win at his own charity event, but only after Kyle Busch dominated the race but had fuel pick up problems on the last lap that put him back to 6th. Darrell Wallace Jr. had a great shot at pulling off the Thursday sweep, him and Max Gresham took turns hounding Kyle but both spun and DW Jr. wrecked after a late restart. Michael Waltrip, who had a top 5 car all race, ended up 2nd. After struggling a ton and only finishing 24th in the East Series race, Chase Elliott finished 3rd. Joey Logano finished 4th, Frank Deiny Jr. 5th. Thursday saw Brandon McReynolds, Chase Elliott, Corey Lajoie, Ryan Blaney, Kyle Grissom, Zach Germain, and president of Martinsville Speedway Clay Campbell all competing between the 2 races. 4. roygbiv posted: 04.29.2011 - 5:20 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Darrell Wallace. Jr has a very bright future in this sport. It would be great to see some more diversity in Nascar. 5. Talon64 posted: 04.29.2011 - 5:21 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Oh and Coleman Pressley too. 6. I don't recall seeing anything calling for a 5 eastern start. But it don't matter anyway, so it's nothing important. Atleast they got it in. 7. Thats why I only take slight interest in the road races. 8. Dodge posted: 04.30.2011 - 11:34 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) What are you talking about Biscuits in a Red Bull? Each number is different from the other. That is why the 2 and 02 can run. Been like that since the dawn of NASCAR in 1949. And I believe back then, they could have 3 digits on there cars as well. 9. I've always lived in the Northeast but I have gone to the midwest and got messed up on time. 12. 00andJoe posted: 05.04.2011 - 2:35 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Correction to results: Caution 1 ran through lap 39 and was due to rain. 13.
