It's the second time a driver has lead all the laps in a race this season. (Brett Moffitt, Greenville-Pickens Speedway) 2. Cup ran there from 1958 to 1971, with Bobby Allison winning the last Cup race held there. Rex White had a Cup track-record 6 wins there, with Glen Wood, Junior Johnson and Richard Petty tied for 2nd with 4 each. Matt DiBenedetto added his name to the likes of White, Wood, Junior Johnson, Richard and Lee Petty and David Pearson as winners at Bowman-Gray with his 3rd career East Series win, first since 2009 driving for JGR. Corey LaJoie ties his best career East Series finish in 2nd, his 2nd podium finish of the season to accompany 3 finishes of 20th or worse. Ben Kennedy gets his first career top 5 in 3rd in his 6th career start, 5 of them this season. Max Gresham got his 4th consecutive finish of 4th or better. DJ Shaw gets just his 2nd career top 5 (1st in 2011) in 17 career starts, tying his best career finish in 5th. Darrell Wallace Jr., ironically enough in the #6 Revolution Racing car, gets his 4th finish of 6th in 5 races this season. The only exception was his win in Richmond. However, he's now leading the points standings by 17 over DiBenedetto (old point system). 16 year old Chad Finchum finishes 7th in just his 2nd career East Series start. Cody Hodgson (not to be confused with the Vancouver Canucks centerman) gets his 3rd top 10 in 5 starts this season and 2nd straight 8th place finish (career best). Chad Boat gets his best career finish and first top 10 in 9th in his 6th series start. Ryan Gifford gets his first career stand-alone top 10 finish in 10th (9 top 5's in 19 series starts). Coleman Pressley got his 1st career East Series pole, but an oil leak resulted in a DNF and 22nd place finish. 5. Stands were packed though, it would have been cool to be there for that race. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
