I just hope he gets a fair shake unlike many other young talents who's family doesn't bring a sponser or already have a NASCAR name. 2. That place was packed to the brim with a ton of people having to stand. In other words, a typical night at the Stadium. Kyle did really good. He stayed right with Corey the whole night before getting caught in the typical Bowman Gray madness. 3. Talk4Tar posted: 06.03.2012 - 2:25 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Corey LaJoie is the real deal! He's won in everything he's ever raced! 4. This is also a historic win for the Ford. It's the Blue Oval Boys first triumph in this series since Ted Christopher won at New Hampshire International Speedway back in September of 2005. 5. That place was packed to the brim with a ton of people having to stand. In other words, a typical night at the Stadium. Not even close. The series used to run prior to Nationwide races at New Hampshire and in the early 90's would race in front of 30,000 or more. Also, the first few trips to Iowa saw close to 40,000 with fans watching the likes of Kyle Busch and Kevin Harvick. 7. joey2448 posted: 06.07.2012 - 3:12 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) I'm watching the race right now on SPEED, and I've realized that the track is just too small for stock cars. I kid, of course, but man is it a rough track... 8. joey2448 posted: 06.07.2012 - 4:00 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Holy cow, what a crazy finish! I counted three separate incidents on that final lap, and Wallace Jr. and Moffitt were about to fight afterwards, due to Wallace Jr. dumping Moffitt on the final lap. 9. 1995z71 posted: 06.13.2012 - 12:03 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Debut of Harrison Rhodes, finishing 4th. 10. Once dale gets by him Travis delivers pay back. One of my favorite moments in this series 13. Anonymous posted: 02.06.2014 - 11:54 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Possibly Sean Caisse's final race. 14. Gdovic inched out Kennedy for eighth. A police officer came in and broke up the Moffitt-Wallace fight before they were able to do anything more Moffitt grabbing Wallace's helmet and Wallace shoving him in return. 15. Bubba Wallace is in the 43 for RPM. Harrison Rhodes has made various starts in Cup and Xfinity over the past few seasons. Kyle Larson is a Cup winner, with Chip Ganassi in the 42. Chase Elliott, is following in his father's footsteps, with 4 career Cup wins, driving the 9 for Hendrick Motorsports, as of me writing this, and a Nationwide series championship in 2014. Ben Kennedy, has made starts in Xfinity, for RCR, and has 1 truck series win to his credit, coming in 2016 at Bristol. Brett Moffitt, was the 2015 Cup series rookie of the year, and the 2018 Camping World Truck Series champion. Daniel Suarez, became the very first international champion in Nascar, by winning the 2016 Xfinity Series championship for Joe Gibbs Racing, and currently drives the 41 for Stewart-Haas 16. I had heard a lot about Bowman Gray but never seen footage of racing there. It's a fascinating place, with so much history, and seeing a race there even on TV was just an incredibly different experience from even the usual NASCAR short tracks. Go watch it or another Bowman Gray race if you get a chance! 17. In the 2012 K&N East season, Larson beat LaJoie and Moffitt for the championship, but LaJoie won by far the most races (5 wins; no one else had more than 2). ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
