He hit everything there and ALMOST pulled a Juan Pablo Montoya to one of the little golf carts that ride around Bowman Gray cleaning up cautions. He was speeding like hell to get to the pits after what seemed like his 15th incident of the day and had to literally spin out and just slid short of leveling that cart and the guy who was driving it. 3. Also, the first race in the K&N East series this season that didn't have a first-time winner. 4. After going winless in his first 29 series starts, Kennedy has now won two of the last three races and currently leads the series in victories. What's interesting is that he's led 177 laps in his career, and all of those laps led came in his two victories. So the next time Kennedy is leading, history shows that he may be on his way to another victory. Bummer for Brett Moffitt. He led over 100 laps for the 7th time in his K&N Pro Series East career, including the 5th time since joining Shigeaki Hattori's team last season, and for the 4th time fails win the race (all while driving for Hattori). He's still winless through five races this season and failed to finish in the top ten for the first time this season, but he still holds onto the points lead. Jesse Little finally snaps his cold streak with a 5th place finish. His best finish in four prior starts this season was 14th at Bristol. After posting a best finish of 18th in his first eight series starts, Mackena Bell is currently riding a three race streak of 11th or better, including 2 top six finishes. Perhaps that three year absence from this series allowed her to mature as a driver, after a pretty dismal 2010 season for Revolution Racing. Corey LaJoie finishes dead last after an opening lap crash the same day it was announced that he had signed a driver development deal with RPM. Not exactly a good ending to his day, but still a pretty good day for him nonetheless. He's got the talent and work ethic to succeed in NASCAR's higher divisions, and I'm anxious to see how well he'll do later this season when he runs a few Nationwide races. 5. 83andJoe posted: 06.02.2013 - 1:59 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) First caution: #39, #47, #37 accident turn 3 (Lucky Dog: None) Second caution: #49 stopped backstretch (Lucky Dog: #39) Third caution: #47 spin turn 3 Fourth caution: #1 spin turn 4 Fifth caution: #99, #00, #72, #6 accident turn 4 (Lucky Dog: #49) Sixth caution: #00, #34 accident turn 4 (Lucky Dog: none) Seventh caution: #96, #97 accident turn 4 Eighth caution: #39 stopped backstretch (Lucky Dog: #1) Ninth caution: #98, #47 accident turn 2; #34, #72, #2 accident turn 4 Tenth caution: #4 spin turn 3 (Lucky Dog: #00) Eleventh caution: #6 spin turn 4 (Lucky Dog: #4) Twelvth caution: #6 spin turn 2 Thirteenth caution: #1 spin turn 4 6. Kwasniewski is going to be a star, he has a lot of talent and with the sponsorship from his parents, he's going to make it to Cup. It will be fun to watch him, he somewhat reminds me of Kyle Busch with how he drives. This series has a lot of talent right now, I would have been skeptical of the talent level this year considering who they lost last year but there are a lot of good young drivers here. 9.
