His first stock car start of any kind was a late model race in February. Heck, the guy who won this race, Scott Heckert, looked pretty bad his first year and a half and now has turned into a decent prospect. I wouldn't expect too much from Abreu until the second half of the season and going into next year. also, don't forget that most of the other drivers in the series this year have years of stock car experience to fall back on. Except Dalton Sargeant, who appears to be a beast of epic proportions in the making. Spent his entire career karting over in europe and now has adapted to stock cars almost immediately. Still in shock that Sargeant, a kid with YEARS of road racing experience got NO offers from any Mazda Road to Indy programs due to not having a rich family/connections. Another driver that will be IndyCar's loss and Nascars gain. 8. I didn't know this was his first taste of stock cars, so I will cut him a little slack, but the hype people have put around him, he should be yielding better results. I think a lot of the hype around him really centers around his height though... People love a story about "overcoming adversity," but I don't really care if you're 4'4" or 7'4" it's all about results. 9. I think he'll be good but even I agree he's being hyped a little too much. Hype never helps a young driver (see Logano). He just needs a little time to mature behind the wheel. "I think a lot of the hype around him really centers around his height though" Agree again. Funny thing is I actually didn't know he was a "little person" until I saw an interview with him and I'd heard his name a lot from winning a ton of sprint car races out west in the previous couple years. 10. joey2448 posted: 06.03.2015 - 4:45 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) Hey look who's back behind a stock car!
