I saw on twitter that Van Wieringen was running top 5 all night, sucks
to see another good run ruined.

Justin Haley dominates the race en route to his second win of the season.

The 18-car field for this one is the smallest of the season so far.

Van Wieringen ran 2nd the entire race before getting loose battling Kyle
Benjamin for 2nd and spinning. Benjamin then made an incredible outside
pass on Hayley for the lead on the restart and was pulling away with the
win before cutting a tire with just a few laps to go. Only them and
Theriault looked like contenders for the win, the rest of the field
would get pretty far back of the 2 or 3 car breakaway at the front.
Great run for Cabre from 16th to 3rd. After victory celebrations and
pictures were done, former K&N driver and winner Michael Self hopped
into Hayley's car to take it back to the garage and promptly stalled it,
earning some playful hazing from Hayley and his crew. Last K&N race at
Columbus, the track is slated to be destroyed at the end of the season
to make way for a rugby field.

wait wait, whoa whoa whoa!! The Public Works Dept for the notorious City
of Columbus is qoinq to destroy the racetrack in the Fall?? Who approved
this fatal error??

@7 Rugby? You sure it's not American football? Or are they actually
going to try to introduce rugby to Columbus?

Keep in mind that I find rugby a great sport, but I think we're about a
hundred years too late to make it an American pasttime...

Kyle Benjamin's bid for his first win of 2016 goes out the window when
he gets a flat tire with 16 laps to go.

Haley followed up this win by flying to Minnesota and racing a Trans-Am
car at Brainard the next day.

Benjamin's luck worsened late in the race where damage from the flat
slowed him on the last lap of the race. He finished outside the top-10
because of it.
