Corey LaJoie makes his first K&N East start of the year and promptly
bests K&N West star Todd Gilliland to tally his first victory in the
series since he was a regular on the tour in 2012. LaJoie pulled
double-duty as he ran a NASCAR Xfinity Series race at NHMS the same day.

This race attracted one of the largest starting of the season for the
K&N East series, being on the undercard for a Cup race will bring talent
out of the woodwork.

Van Wieringen was cut out of the car and taken off on a stretcher per
Bob Pockrass

This race had a lengthy red flag after the lap 32 wreck involving Reid
Wilson and Dominique Van Wieringen in Turn 1. Safety crews cut the roof
off of the #30 car and Van Wieringen was taken to the infield care
center. She later said on Twitter that she was diagnosed with a minor
concussion and a bruise on her arm.

Another crash for Dominique Van Wieringen, but was ok.
A 'one race' (40 points) in advance for Justin Haley over Kyle Benjamin
in the point standings with 5 races remaining. 2016 champion ? For sure.

Preece had to start in the back for this race. I'm guessing he missed
the drivers meeting for this race since he was running the Xfinity race.
Whatever the reason was, it was fun watching him race his way through
the pack to get a top 10.

Dave Burns and Parker Kligerman were the commentators. Derek Pernesiglio
was the sole pit road reporter.
