Yes, 15 ties the record for low number of cars in a KNPSE race which was
set in 2016.

Then again, not everyone could make the trip to Memphis. That could've
been a reason.

Happy NASCAR returned to Memphis but disappointed to see only 15 cars
maybe it was sorta expensive to travel there for some teams.

Attended this race was kinda disappointed when the entry list came out
and there was only 15 cars, but the entire field (except the 19) was
within a few tenths of each other in qualifying, so it was a very
competitive race.

The track announcer kept talking about how they're trying to get more
races for next year and also trying to get xfinity and trucks to return.
The track would really be good for those series. All the workers were
nice and the racing was good and the track was clean, so I believe big
things are coming to this place.

How was the crowd? I had an email as well saying they were interested in
bringing back Xfinity and Trucks.

They only had the grandstand in front of the flag stand open and it was
pretty full, a few empty seats at the top right but there was also quite
a bit of people standing in front of the stands or to the side of the
stands for some reason. There was a lot more people there than I thought
would be. How did you get the email?

I asked them if they were interested in bringing back the big national
series (Trucks, NXS) like the facility used to, and they said depending
on how the K&N Race went from an operations and support standpoint, that
those races might be back in the near future (don't know when contracts
are up with the tracks in NXS & Trucks).

They said they were trying to get trucks next year but I don't think
that's possible since the schedule is already out. I think they'll get
K&N again and probably an ARCA race

ARCA would do great there. Would love to see Trucks make a return in
2019 as well. Also kinda disappointed only 19 cars showed up, though.

Pernesiglio on pit road.
