Hopefully Bill Hoff is actually able to start the race this time. 3. Kraus and McReynolds have led so far. One caution was for Garcia Jr. crashing in 1&2 and the other has been for the 1/3 mark break. 9. rm posted: 09.22.2018 - 3:00 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) After the 2/3 mark break, Vargas was spun and hit the wall but no yellow waved. Herbst stayed out after running just outside the top 5 most of the day but lost the lead to McReynolds quickly on the restart. With 25 to go, Kraus is trying to reel back in McReynolds and Herbst but time is running out. 10. rm posted: 09.22.2018 - 3:07 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Kraus struggled to pass Herbst but after making the pass, he ran down McReynolds with ease and assumes the lead with less than 5 to go. But it's not over as Tyler Dippel turns around Thomas Ferrando with 3 to go! This is bad news for the Herbst crew as their fuel gamble that was about to pay off with a top-3 finish is in serious jeopardy. Kraus will now have to hold off the field on the restart. 11. Ankrum was spun round by Dippel after the race. 12. Lucstar88 posted: 09.22.2018 - 3:18 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) 54 and the 17 are teammates lol. Mayer and Bassett, Jr came across the line beating and banging for 9th. Even with a 13th place finish, Tyler Ankrum is the 2018 K&N East champ. 13. timothy eklunds other computer posted: 09.22.2018 - 3:18 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) McReynolds gets it 14. rm posted: 09.22.2018 - 3:19 pm Rate this comment: (2) (0) Incredible finish! Kraus spun the tires and then had to keep it straight when Dippel gave him a big push from behind. Kraus, McReynolds and Herbst went 3-wide into 1 but McReynolds emerged with a sizable lead. Kraus kept chase but couldn't reel McReynolds back in and McReynolds took the win. Meanwhile, back in the pack, Mayer and one of the Bassetts banged their cars off each other for more than half of the final lap and nearly wrecked, resulting in flat left rear for Mayer. Behind them, teammates Dippel and Ankrum also about crashed and Ankrum wound up spinning in turn 1 after the flag. The broadcast said there may have been contact, but it also could have been the result of a tire blowout. It's McReynolds' first East series victory and first K&N win since a pair of West triumphs in 2015. 15. He needed to leave New Hampshire leading his teammate Tyler Dippel by at least 48 points (the max that can be scored in one race) and while Dippel finished in front of him here the one spot advantage was not enough to prevent Dippel locking it up and celebrating a little early. 23. It was the first win for the Bow Tie Bandits in this series since Ronnie Bassett, Jr. won at New Smyrna in February 2017. Bassett himself had a top-10 in this race but now drives for Toyota. 24.
