The title fight ended early this year. Tyler Ankrum clinched the crown
at the prior race in New Hampshire.

That said there is still a race to run and with the championship settled
anything goes now.

So yeah, Dippel spun Ankrum at the end of last race and was let go by
DGR-Crosley. To me, the bigger points battle is for third. The underdog
Ronnie Bassett and top-tier driver Anthony Alfredo are tied for third in
the standings - looks like Alfredo might've had a bit of an
underachieving season.

I can't believe Ankrum isn't getting rides in the 17, or the 54 In the
truck series. Of course they want Lemastus because he is one of the owners.

Mayer and Burton were running in the first of two races for them this
day as they took Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s jet - or one of them, anyway, to
Indianapolis to run in the evening's Shore Lunch 200 at Lucas Oil Raceway.

#8 - Davis wrecked in the closing minutes of practice but did not have a
backup car. As they operate out of the Rette Jones Racing shop, RJR lent
them a backup to start the race with.

The #82 Is A Chevy, Not A Ford.

@18 Actually, the #82 was a Ford, initially it was a Chevy, but Spencer
Davis wrecked the Chevy due to a RR tire go down, and don't have backup
car, so Rette Jones Racing (team of the #30) let Spencer and 82 team
start and park their backup car (a Ford) as we can see here:

Spencer include help in the pit stop of the #30 team during the race.
