career start.

An exciting finish set up by Drew Dollar crashing out in the closing
laps, setting up a green-white-checkered. Gray and Mayer battled side by
side for a lap, beating and banging all the way to the white flag. It
would have been impossible to tell who was ahead by the naked eye alone.
Chase Cabre sent a shot up the line heading into turn 1, eventually
spinning himself and stopping in the middle of the track. Mayer lost
some time as a result of the contact from Cabre and though he gave it a
valiant effort in 3&4, Gray nosed out the win.

Been saying it for years, K&N and ARCA are the most exciting levels of
stock car racing, but too many people write it off just by looking at
car count alone. Expand your horizons, folks!

I liked the idea of determining the lineup for the 2nd twin based on
fastest lap by each driver in Race 1. Could this be NASCAR experimenting
with how to do qualifying for the Twin's at Pocono next year? If so, I'm
a fan.

Tanner Gray wins the NHRA Pro Stock title, swaps his Camaro drag car for
a Camry stock car and wins at a rather high level in just his third time
out. Wow. He had prior oval experience but still, wow.

Owner on the 54 should be Bo LeMastus, not Bo LaMastus.

According to the NASCAR Home Tracks Twitter, both the 24 and 87 withdrew
before qualifying. I didn't see the FansChoice broadcast though, the 87
could've stuck it out for points or money.

K&N East and West, as well as ARCA, have far surpassed the main three
NASCAR series in terms of race quality. It's not even close. I can
always sit down and watch a K&N race, while the only good Cup races are
at plate tracks and road courses.

Pernesiglio was the sole pit road reporter.
