Not even a decade ago we would get 20 cars from each series 2. Hi posted: 07.24.2019 - 3:19 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Thankfully a few other people joined 3. To have only 4 Fords (with one likely getting no support) in a combined K&N series race to me is problematic. Taking it a step further, in the ARCA race this weekend there are 6 Fords, but 3 are back marker teams with likely no factory support. The only Fords in the truck race this weekend are the 4 Thorson trucks. There are only 3 Fords in the Xfinity race this weekend (SHR and Penske). Ford is showing very little interest in investing in racing outside of Cup, and that to me is one of the biggest factors in the smaller fields. I may be in the minority on this, but I would welcome any new manufacture that wants to join the series if it means they'll enter 3 more competitive cars per series, since that's all it would take to match Fords racing contributions right now. 4. I would definitely welcome Honda, Hyundai or whatever manufacturers that are still interested in competitive stock car racing Ford clearly doesn't. 5. Gibbs getting second, yet again!, has to hurt. At least he seems to be taking it pretty well, probably helps when your last name is Gibbs and he surely has many wins to come down the line. 7. gary24fan posted: 07.27.2019 - 10:13 am Rate this comment: (0) (1) Oh my God it has nothing to do with lack of any manufacturer or any of that. Racing is too damned expensive now! The greedy parts manufacturers and tire suppliers are killing this sport from the top levels down to Podunk Speedway in East Bumscrew Nebraska! And the car owners are too damned lazy to go find the sponsorship required (not that any company is interested in putting their name on the side of a car that's going to be seen by a few dozen people tops), and require rich-kid drivers whose fathers own luxury home construction companies to bring the money. And no, NASCAR is not going to fix it next year when they "align the rules with ARCA" or whatever bullcrap gets spun around here defending what's going on. The sport is dying, and in many of your lifetimes will be dead. I hope I'm dead because I don't want to hear the whining from you clowns that it's no longer around, and you don't understand what happened. Peace out. 8. A guy from small town Mexico who, with his family, built a go-kart in his dad's auto body and made the drive (not flight, drive) to Las Vegas to compete in a big race, where he did well enough to get some notice. 9.
