David posted: 02.03.2020 - 10:48 am Rate this comment: (0) (0) @5: As I understand it the ARCA East series is NOT strictly a continuation of the K&N East series (same applies to the West too). As far as championships are concerned, those will continue to accumulate but driver stats start fresh. So for example if Chase Cabre wins at New Smyrna it will be his first ARCA East win and not his third "East" series win. Maybe I'm wrong but that's how I heard it's going to be. 8. They have 108 Midget series starts for her since 2017, with 3 podiums and no wins. She was at the Chili bowl this year, not sure which alphabet soup heat she stopped at, but didn't make the A main. she did make the A in 2019 finishing 20th. 13. jensenators posted: 02.03.2020 - 2:10 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) While I have the site up, the others with no stats on this site: Gio Scelzi- Son of Gary Scelzi. 156 races listed with 11 wins and 28 podiums, looks to all be Sprint car races. Jesse Love- Nothing on the driverdb site, according to his website, he is 15 years old, from menlo park, CA. ran 120 races in 2019 in the POWRi racing series, SRL Southwest Late Model Tour, as well as winged sprints for serveral west coast races. Daniel Dye- Late Model Racer for Ben Kennedy. Can't find much info because he has no website. 14. Sector posted: 02.03.2020 - 4:02 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) #7 I personally find a brand new Motorsports series to be exciting, so if that's the case I'm excited! Besides Formula W (which I'm curious as to why this series isn't added on Racing-Reference at this point) & Formula E we've been lackluster in new series in this most recent couple of decades as far as I know. Of course with Motorsports struggling to keep interest among audience these days I understand, so we should cherish this moment for a fresh career and record stats of a brand new series! Also to note on this website; At the tab where it says "Home, Drivers, Owners, Tracks," all the way to "F1, WSCC & Fantasy," the Pro East & Pro West series were taken off and the Modifieds was added as compared to 2019. Maybe David is right in this being a brand new series (along with the ARCA West Series). 17. Sector posted: 02.03.2020 - 4:27 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) #16 Or maybe it isn't. If you scroll down to the bottom under "Current Racing Series. Click on ARCA Menards West or East Series, it shows that it is the same series as the previous Pro West and East Series. Same series, rebranded from NASCAR to ARCA I suppose. 18. rm posted: 02.03.2020 - 6:26 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Definitely not a new series, just the East (and West) series under a different name. The 1, 25, and 17 were 3 wide off turn 4, Gray got squeezed into the wall, and the car went on its side, damaging a couple of the poles holding the catch-fence. The car landing back on its wheels at the start-finish line. Tanner was unhurt. Race currently under red flag with about 20 to go. 32. jensenators posted: 02.10.2020 - 9:26 pm Rate this comment: (0) (0) Prior to this accident, it was a rather tame race. That being said the 50 was just slow, not a great night for her or any of the BMR cars really, the 16 oiled down the track badly in qualifying 44. rm posted: 02.11.2020 - 12:05 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) While a win here wouldn't have made up for 2 wrecked cars at Daytona, it was a great day for the Chad Bryant team and Derek Griffith nonetheless. There was never any doubt that both car and driver could be quick, but the 2 bunch really put on a show here well above what was expected of them. We'll see if it translates into more starts for either CBR in the East or for Griffith. Polarizing late model standout Stephen Nasse was a late entry into this race and ran his first race in the East series in 8 years. Nasse ran strong but was never really a factor for the win. Hard to get a baseline for how good the team is, though, as this was just the 09's second East race. The ARCA regulars crossing over had a mixed bag of results. Some teams pulling double duty did well here (Chad Bryant had 2 crashouts at Daytona but nearly won; GMS fielded a car for WoO star David Gravel at Daytona and won with Sam Mayer here; Gibbs picked up strong finishes from Herbst at the big track and Ty Gibbs at the short track) while most others struggled much more (Willie Mullins never made a qualifying lap and spent a lot of time making repairs to his car, Chuck Hiers was an early DNF here after his hard hit on Saturday, the Finneys didn't complete a lap at Daytona with Scott Reeves and were a bit off the pace here, both of the Venturini entries crashed, and Tanner Gray went for a ride on the fencing). 45. In the sister West series, Matt Levin was the last driver to tumble at Kern County in 2016, but Chris Eggleston joined Gray has half-flip victims at All American in 2018.
