Garrett Evans kicked off his 1986 Northwest tour campaign by winning his
second straight race in the series dating back to the 1985 finale. The
defending champion would add a third win in a row at Evergreen before
his streak ended. Evans' car trailed smoke during the second half of the
race, but disappointed runner-up Chad Little noted that he never saw any
fluid on his windshield from Evans, no matter how much he squinted his
eyes. When it's your day, it's your day.

Attendance - 3,500

Third caution - 28 accident turn 4

Ron Hall had a serious crash on lap 39 that landed him in the hospital
with leg injuries.
