Boise racer John Dillon picks up his first Northwest Tour win in four
years, claiming his penultimate win in the series.

Kazuto Yanagawa, a Japanese racer who previously competed in British
Formula 3, earned his lone NASCAR pole position in this race. The race
itself didn't go as well for the #99 Pachinko Parco Chevrolet as
Yanagawa was passed on the opening lap by championship-bound Gary Lewis
and didn't led a lap before a blown motor early on sent him to the
sidelines. Yanagawa never started better than 16th in any of his other
Northwest Tour starts.
