Fourth caution - 11, 32, 98 accident

Pole speed - 85.322 mph by Gary Lewis (6-car invert)

Margin of victory - .5 carlength

Tom Sweatman entered the season finale with a slim point lead, but his
title hopes took a hit when he could only qualify ninth and the race
never went to plan from there. Sweatman never cracked the top five and
was dropping back in the pack when he became the victim of a run-in
between Gaylon Stewart & Greg Bennett. A green-flag pitstop to change a
flat tire shortly after the restart officially doomed Sweatman's chances
at the title for good. Sweatman's misfortune played to the benefit of
Pete Harding, who drove through the field to a second-place finish and
his only Northwest tour championship. Harding nearly won the race as
well, coming up maybe one lap short of ruining Garrett Evans'
wire-to-wire victory with a strong last-ditch last-lap effort coming out
of turn 4.
