Sweatman never cracked the top five and was dropping back in the pack when he became the victim of a run-in between Gaylon Stewart & Greg Bennett. A green-flag pitstop to change a flat tire shortly after the restart officially doomed Sweatman's chances at the title for good. Sweatman's misfortune played to the benefit of Pete Harding, who drove through the field to a second-place finish and his only Northwest tour championship. Harding nearly won the race as well, coming up maybe one lap short of ruining Garrett Evans' wire-to-wire victory with a strong last-ditch last-lap effort coming out of turn 4. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
