Tidrick fittingly scores the victory, his only one on the Northwest Tour, as the series visits Yakima Speedway for the final time. This was the penultimate race in series history and the only one Tidrick ever led. 2. rm posted: 01.31.2019 - 8:06 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Tidrick won the big race from the pole, too. For most of the longer races in the regional series, inverts were not used. In this case, the field was set Daytona 500 style, with the front row being locked in on time and the rest having to race in via twin 25 lap races. With such a short field, though, nobody was sent home. Also, drivers were not allowed to change tires in this race unless it was under green flag conditions. An interesting rule for a 200 mile race at a half-mile track, but Tidrick's Hoosiers held up well and only saw a .3 second falloff from the beginning to the end of the race. 3. rm posted: 03.11.2020 - 8:15 pm Rate this comment: (1) (0) Pole winner - Tidrick The qualifying race winners were Garrett Evans and Brandon Riehl. Lex Johnson was in the #22, not the #89. Johnson crashed in the second qualifying race and again in the main event. The finish of this race looked much like the finish of the first qualifier, only with Tidrick and Evans flipped for the main event. The top two from the other qualifier, Bruce and Riehl, weren't really around in the end of the feature. Evans was locked on Tidrick's bumper and even hit him a couple times, but Tidrick never wiggled and Evans could never complete the move and pass Tidrick for the win. Yakima doesn't have a wall on the outside of most of the track besides the frontstretch, and sure enough somebody went sailing off of turn 2 at some point and wound up back behind the backstretch. 73 sponsor - Sandblasters Inc. Fifth caution - 39 accident turn 3 Sixth caution - 81 slow on track Seventh caution - 28 accident turn 4 Eighth caution - 12, 68 accident frontstretch ------------------------------------------------------------------------ *Post a comment:* Your comment may not appear immediately - all comments must be approved by the moderator.
