The first ever Pacific Coast Late Model Division race ends with Dick
Rathmannn taking his first win of the year in the only (?) sponsored car
in the race. This series would later turn out to be the K&N Pro Series
West division we know and love.

You never fail to amaze NASCAR_vd. This is some incredible research.

NASCAR legend Hershel McGriff, a future Pacific Late Model/Winston
West/K&N West series champion, fittingly makes his debut in the series'
first race.

Not sure who supplied the tire rods, but I'm wondering who supplied the
tie rods because they had 7 DNF's in this race.
