Note for visitors: This is the 1969 season of the actual K&N Pro Series
West.
I compiled all the archives that I had at my disposal. It was a tedious
job. However, and I'm the first sorry, it still lacks a lot of information.

Thanks anyhow. Unfortunately it's quite probable that some of the full
results for these races have been lost to time.

According to NASCAR's records, Parnelli Jones and Dan Gurney won all
their races at Riverside racing as West Series drivers. Is the same true
here or no?

Thank you again to nascar_vd for his incredible work putting these
results together. I'm amazed any of these results still exist. You're
work finding them is incredible.

In this combination race the West guys were overshadowed by Richard
Petty who unveiled his new Ford Torino, making a surprise switch away
from Mopar for 1969, and won with it the first time out.

This was also Mario Andretti's last NASCAR race.

I suspect this is a case of "Modern Era", with those stats only counted
from 1971 onwards when Winston took over sponsorship.

Yes NASCAR has sometimes changed over time its choice of statistics. At
times giving credit to a victory obtained by a Grand Touring (with the
Mustang of Bobby) for example. Then deciding that this victory would not
count. Then returning 20 years later on his decision ...

Thank you for your support. Know that I am working on the 1968 season of
the West. Unfortunately, incomplete race results increase ... But I do
not know when I'm finished.

However very soon on the website, there will be a nice surprise.
Certainly not everything will be complete. But it concerns the start of
the West series.

This project is just awesome. I love doing what I can to find little
odds and ends to fill in the gaps.
