Jimmy Insolo picks up his only win of 1973.

Harold Hardesty makes his final Winston West start, and his first in
four year, and records a top-10 as he departs the series.

Note: Dick Bown, the race leader, slowed his pace with a rear tire going
flat and Jimmy Insolo drove underneath in turn 1 on lap 92 to gain the
lead and the win.

Note: Complete qualifying results, race name, lot of missing owners,
cautions, DNQs list, driver hometown, sponsors are now available.

DC: Jack McCoy, already 1973 champion, drove the #7 in qualifying but
sat out the event, loaning his car to Dick Bown (blew engine in qualifying).

Note: lineup determined by qualifying time for position 1-6 and by two
heat races for the remainder of the field.

I crewed for Leon Fox in this race. We qualed well and thought we had a
burner but we didn't and Leon got into the wall off T4as I recall, just
enough of a hit to put us out. That was the last race of the 73 season
as I recall and I was disappointed.
