Just a technicality, but when this race was run the track had been
renamed to "605 Speedway," but it was still the exact same track.

Actually, the name was Speedway 605. Was renamed from SGVS for 1973.

The NASCAR West Series returns to the San Gabriel Valley
Speedway/Speedway 605 for the first time in just under three years with
the late Sonny Easley coming away as the winner. This turned out to be
the series' last race at this Southern California track, it closed in
1978 and was demolished. This was Easley's only win at this speedway.
