Hershel McGriff was the only car on Goodyear tires. Everyone else was on
Hoosiers. McGriff was penalized to the rear of the field at the halfway
mark due to his crew working on the car before NASCAR allowed them to.
Bill Schmitt fell two laps off the lead just after halfway thanks to a
cut tire. He made both laps up but ran out of time to chase down Sedgwick.

Rick Catalano and Rick Scribner's lap 69 collision put Scribner over the
barrier in turn 1. Seems the two just collided and the #15 did a little
hop, coming to rest just outside the track.
